CLOSE TO YOU

This is the third concert poster I've done, and the magazine layout has been a huge success. I enjoy bringing something different to the flyer game, but I still have a long way to go in terms of the things I'm trying to accomplish. My work has grown alot over the last 2 years, and as of late its getting even better. Layouts are tighter, graphics are crisper...just the overall quality has been upgraded.
As a result on the site I've started a new volume of flyers to highlight my continual progression and as the work advances and continues to grow, i'll add more volumes.
This Maxi priest flyer is my favorite so far in the magazine layouts.

Sometimes all the things going on around you, makes you feel like your losing control. Like your drowning in all the things that life is throwing at you. That's the inspiration to this peace, that falling feeling you get when you feel like your losing control.

I found the perfect image of the woman melting, for this peace. I wish I had thought of the concept myself but it was, what I was looking for. It provides a perfect starting point if this party is done every year, I can then create my own variations of the same theme.

Been working non stop over the last 2 months, got burnt out with the client stuff. Just needed a few days to myself, to just do something for me.This is my latest Hip Hop peace. Wanted to do a dope black and white peace for the longest, but could never get it to come together like I wanted. I think I was finally able to create something dope.

STYLE FILES LOOK BOOK

The Style Files is a independent accessories boutique with stores in Trinidad, with future plans of opening stores in the States in the future. I've been working with the owners of The Style Files, on the look of their brand. The goal is to present the brand with the look of high end accessories, but the prices would of course be affordable.

The goal was to make this look like an actual photo, as if he was taken in front of the Gucci Store. The client requested that the gucci colors be incorporated into the design. Using it for the title kept the design clean.

I learned something about color from the last flyer, which was Culture Shock. And what I learned was that color used in the right way can really bring something to life. This is something I already knew tho, but, I don't think I really understood it. Just as lighting enriches, color enhances.
