UNTITLED 1
Been up since 3am, slept for like an hour before that. Couldn't sleep for shit, so much things running through my head, so much things I wanna do, so much things I have to do. Sometimes I just need to get some things outta my head to keep my thoughts clear. I have so many images in my head that I want to get them out, but I just don't have the time these days, and when I do get some time I just want to get some rest.
I needed to do a personal piece, something to clear my mind, something with no focus, no boundaries, no destination, just free thought. This is a digital collage with elements of my 4yr old daughters art incorporated in it.

Wet n Wild 2011 (rejected)
This is a project I wanted to do. I did the flyer last year, and I wanted to do it again this year to make it more sophisticated more sexy, after all it is Miami, and Miami is a sexy town. When I was done I was really happy with the end result, and I thought for sure the promoter would love it. But too my surprise his team hated it, said it was too sexy and didn't look fun.
I usually don't post flyers that get rejected, and I usually don't get alot of rejections, but it happens. But I really liked this one and didn't want it too just sit in my archive without getting a chance to shine, even tho it was hated on. I always strive to do good work, and wether or not people agree with the final outcome... I did my best to create something dope, and I think this was pretty clean n dope.

Shangri La
After doing some research, it seems that Shangri La can mean many things. But the one meaning that stands out is that it is a Utopian word used to describe a place or feeling...think perfection.
The promoters wanted something that would describe this utopian, caribbean outdoor event.
Since I couldn't find one image to embody the entire meaning, I used a series of images to tie the meaning together.
1. The person meditating describes the peaceful mindstate.
2. The Woman in costume describes the caribbean atmosphere.
3. The humming bird represents Trinidad, since this is a Trini event.

Saltfish 2011
The work I do for Slackness, I never get a chance to do the same for other clients,
1. I have complete creative control with Slackness projects, and they never second guess what I do because they trust my judgement and
2.people are afraid to take risk, even for something as simple as visuals for a party. They pigeonhole themselves and as a result they attempt to pigeonhole me when I try to get creative.
That's why the Slackness flyers will always be different from anything else I do. I think if it's over the top people will take the time to read it just to see what it's about.
If you came out from a party and all the flyers you received looked the same, and one was completely different...which one would you take the time too read?
PS.That's my boy D as the fisherman, lol.
