With all these uprisings going on around the world, Egypt and Libya specifically, will it be a matter of time before it comes to America. We are suffering the same hardships that these countries are fighting for, unemployment, low paying jobs, rising prices on food, rent, transportation and the list just goes on. Will America be next? It might not happen today, tomorrow or even this year for that matter. But if the current trend continues, sooner or later we too will have to take to the streets for a real change to come.

The quote is from Emory Douglas, the graphic designer who did all the art for the Black Panther movement in the 70's. Many of the problems they were trying too overcome still exist today, and all the people who spoke out about the issues of that period, are either dead or in jail.

DJ Bizzy : Promotional Flyer

Promotional flyer for Dj Bizzy. I also designed the logo, for which the client wanted a mic in the hands of the statue of liberty. We did the photoshoot on top of a building in the city at 6 in the morning to get that beautiful skyline shot...yeah right, lol.

LAVA

This flyer started off the typical way at first, with the girl blah, blah, blah... and I wasn't really feeling it. When I'm not really feeling something the client usually doesn't feel it either. So I sent the client a draft and they said take the girl off, just leave the logo. But just the logo wouldn't be very interesting. Somebody holding the logo would be more interesting I thought. The hand coming out of hot molten LAVA is even crazier. 

Girls Rush

Getting the girls laid out right was the hardest part of the flyer. All the images I would find the women were half naked, and I didn't want it too be too raunchy. I wanted the girls too look real, like girls you might actually party with. This is another reason I need my camera, so I can start taking my own pics of real, classy, stylish women.

A Night Of Seduction

The hardest part of designing this flyer was finding a woman that looked seductive. Life Lesson 3069: There is a fine line between seductive and skanky...lol

Elite Squad / Road to Glory

This flyer was originally created to showcase the logo (which I also designed) and it was to be the center piece of the flyer. But the promoter changed directions and decided to add a theme. Which ended up being Road to Glory. I kept the design simple, so the logo could still stand out.

Freaking Cheers

A Night Where Stars Are Born

OK 2 print hit me up to do a flyer, haven't done a job for them in a minute. They needed a flyer asap so I did this in about an hour, talk about an extremely close deadline. I was lucky because the client knew exactly what they wanted and I just followed their criteria. The only thing I would change is to make "where" a little smaller, and probably use a different sticker background for the date.

Old man and the Sea.

The shark was actually inspired by a concept car. Once I created it, the shark was alone in this big blue sea...I guess he scared all the other fish away. The only thing I could think of to make this more interesting was a fisherman, and it just took me back to a book I read when I was a kid...The Old man and the Sea.
